Subhadra Kumari Chauhan was an Indian poet who lived from 16 August 1904 to 15 February 1948. "Jhansi ki Rani" is one of her most well-known poems (about the courageous Queen of Jhansi). Subhadra Chauhan was born in the village of Nihalpur in the Prayagraj District of Uttar Pradesh.
