Samir Subash Naik, an ex-professional footballer from India who played as a defender for Dempo SC and India, was born on August 8, 1979. He is currently the Goa Professional League's Dempo SC's head coach. Naik plays regularly for India and is a member of the successful Dempo SC team that won two league championships and advanced to the AFC Cup semifinals.
