Annie Besant was a British socialist, theosophist, feminist, author, orator, political party member, educationist, and philanthropist. She was regarded as a champion of human freedom and a staunch supporter of both Irish and Indian self-government.  Annie Besant founded the Home Rule League in Madras in September 1916. They shared the goal of achieving self-government in India.

Taapsee Pannu is an Indian actress who primarily appears in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil-language movies (born 1 August 1987). Bal Gangadhar Tilak, also known as Lokmanya, was an Indian nationalist, educator, and independence activist. He was born Keshav Gangadhar Tilak on July 23, 1856, and died on August 1, 1920. He made up a third of the trio that comprised Lal Bal Pal. The movement for Indian independence was founded by Tilak.
