Jerome Allen Seinfeld (born April 29, 1954) is a stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and producer from the United States. He is best known for his role as a semi-fictionalized version of himself in the sitcom Seinfeld, which he co-created and co-wrote with Larry David. From 1989 to 1998, the show aired on NBC, becoming one of the most acclaimed and popular American sitcoms of all time. Seinfeld specialises in observational comedy as a stand-up comedian. He was named the 12th greatest stand-up comedian of all time by Comedy Central in 2004.
