Amilcare, Benito Andrea Mussolini was an Italian politician and journalist who founded and led the National Fascist Party from 29 July 1883 to 28 April 1945. From the March on Rome in 1922 until his deposition in 1943, he was Prime Minister of Italy, and "Duce" of Italian Fascism from the establishment of the Italian Fasces of Combat in 1919 until his execution by Italian partisans in 1945. Mussolini and his mistress Clara Petacci left for Chiavenna in the afternoon of April 27, 1945, in the town of Dongo (Lake Como), shortly before the Allied army arrived in Milan. They were apprehended, however, by Italian communist partisans. After repeated failed attempts to transport them to Como, they were transported to Mezzegra. They spent their final night at the De Marias' home. The next day, April 28, Mussolini and his mistress were both assassinated, along with their fifteen-man train, which was primarily made up of Italian Social Republic ministers and bureaucrats. The scenes were shot in the little town of Giulino di Mezzegra.

Maharaja Sir Hari Singh was the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir's final governing Maharaja. Hari Singh was Amar Singh and Bhotiali Chib's son. Following his uncle's death in 1923, Singh ascended to the throne of Jammu and Kashmir. Nehru and Abdullah plotted to expel Singh from Jammu and Kashmir, forcing him to live in exile in Bombay. Singh spent the last few days of his life in Bombay. After fourteen years in exile, he died on April 26, 1961. His ashes were carried to Jammu, dispersed around Jammu and Kashmir, and immersed in the Tawi River in Jammu, as per his wishes.
