Throughout his five-decade career, he has received numerous honours, including an Academy Award, two Tony Awards, and two Primetime Emmy Awards, making him one of the few actors to have won the Triple Crown of Acting. He has also received the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Life Achievement Award, the Cecil B. DeMille Award, and the National Medal of Arts.
