Maharaja Sir Hari Singh was the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir's final governing Maharaja. Hari Singh was Amar Singh and Bhotiali Chib's son. Following his uncle's death in 1923, Singh ascended to the throne of Jammu and Kashmir. Nehru and Abdullah plotted to expel Singh from Jammu and Kashmir, forcing him to live in exile in Bombay. Singh spent the last few days of his life in Bombay. After fourteen years in exile, he died on April 26, 1961. His ashes were carried to Jammu, dispersed around Jammu and Kashmir, and immersed in the Tawi River in Jammu, as per his wishes.

Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar is a former Indian cricketer who was born in Bombay, Maharashtra on April 24, 1973. He is recognised as one of the top batters in the world. He is a part-time bowler capable of bowling both off and leg breaks. Sachin was primarily a right-handed opening batter who also batted in the middle order. He holds the record for the most runs scored in both Test and ODI cricket. He was the first batter in white ball history to reach a double century. Even though he was barely 5 feet 5 inches tall, he hooked the ball as well as a tall Mohinder Amarnath.

Arijit Singh (born April 25, 1987) is an Indian singer-composer. He primarily sings in Hindi and Bengali, but he has also performed in a number of other Indian languages. He has received a National Award as well as a record six Filmfare Awards. Sawai Raja Sur Singh, also known as Suraj Mal, was the Raja of the Marwar Kingdom from 24 April 1571 until 7 September 1619. His sister was Emperor Jahangir's third wife and Shah Jahan's mother. On his father's death on July 11, 1595, he ascended to the throne. In acknowledgment of his great achievements, he received the hereditary title of Sawai Raja from Princes Murad and Daniyal Mirza in the conquest of Gujarat and the Deccan for Emperor Akbar. On September 7, 1619, he perished while on active duty at Mahaikat, Deccan.

Vinod Khanna was a film actor turned politician who served as the Member of Parliament for Gurdaspur. In Peshawar, British India, he was born into a Punjabi Hindu household to Kamla and Krishan Chand Khanna (now in Pakistan). He was the eldest of four siblings, with three sisters and one brother. Shortly after his birth, India was partitioned, and the family relocated from Peshawar to Mumbai. On 2 April 2017, Khanna was admitted to the Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Center in Gurgaon, Mumbai, for a few weeks after suffering from acute dehydration. He passed away on April 27th.

Despite having minimal formal math instruction, Srinivasa Ramanujan was an Indian mathematician who made significant contributions to mathematics, including breakthroughs in number theory, analysis, and infinite series. Whether it was a birth, funeral, wedding, job, unemployment, war, or accident, the telegraph impacted every element of Indian life. The British invented the telegram, among other things, in the 1850s, and it proved to be the beginning of communication in India. Today is significant because it was on this date in 1854 that the first telegraph was delivered from Mumbai to Pune.
