Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar is a former Indian cricketer who was born in Bombay, Maharashtra on April 24, 1973. He is recognised as one of the top batters in the world. He is a part-time bowler capable of bowling both off and leg breaks. Sachin was primarily a right-handed opening batter who also batted in the middle order. He holds the record for the most runs scored in both Test and ODI cricket. He was the first batter in white ball history to reach a double century. Even though he was barely 5 feet 5 inches tall, he hooked the ball as well as a tall Mohinder Amarnath.
