Ravindra Kaushik was born on April 11, 1952, and died in November 2001. He worked for the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW). He is famously known as Black Tiger and is regarded as one of India's best spies of all time. He was able to break into the Pakistani armed forces' commissioned officer ranks. From 1979 to 1983, Kaushik worked as a spy for R&AW against Pakistan. Kaushik demonstrated his talent at a national level dramatic meet in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, which was witnessed by R&A Wing officials. He was contacted and offered a position as an undercover agent in Pakistan.
