We messed up and we are sorry: Flipkart apologies for 'get kitchen appliances' text on women's day

After promoting kitchen appliances on women's day, Flipkart apologised for marketing misfire as many found the message sexist. "Dear Customer, This Women's Day, let's celebrate You. Get Kitchen Appliances from ₹ 299 [sic]," read the message. Flipkart tweeted an apology. "We messed up and we are sorry," Flipkart wrote on Twitter. "We did not intend to hurt anyone's sentiments and apologise for the Women's Day message," it added.
