Transgender sues Air India: SC asks Centre to formulate policy on employment to third gender

The Supreme Court asked the Centre to formulate a policy within three months so that reasonable accommodation can be provided to transgender persons in all establishments covered by the provisions of the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019. A bench in an interim order asked the government to consult all stakeholders on creating an enabling framework that would help the third sex with employment opportunities.
