Rising temperature in the Indian Ocean intensifies cyclones and storms

Last week, Cyclone Tauktae and Cyclone Yaas entered the Bay of Bengal, battering India and forcing over a million people to flee for shelters.  According to scientists, global warming is intensifying ocean warming, resulting in an increase in the number of cyclones and the quick intensification of mild storms. "This is a grim reminder of India's vulnerability to major climatic catastrophes."The CEEW in India noted.
