Poachers kill 8 lions, mutilated bodies in Africa

South African police have started investigation after 8 mutilated lion carcasses were spotted at a private game farm near Swartruggens. The snouts and paws were cut off from all the lions as authorities suspect an illegal hunting. As per reports, the poachers might have fed the lions with poisoned chicken. Lion killings in South Africa have been speculated for their body parts used in so-called traditional medicine.
