A 104-year-old elderly woman named Dorothy Hoffner set a Guinness World Record as the oldest person in the world to skydive. Born in 1918, Hoffner had survived both the Spanish flu and Covid-19 pandemics, as well as her previous skydiving attempt at age 100. She jumped from a Skyvane plane in Ottawa, Illinois, 85 miles south of Chicago with an instructor to make the unique world record. Dorothy Hoffner first went skydiving when she was 100 years old.
