Noted feminist activist and author, Kamla Bhasin passes away at 75

Noted feminist activist and author Kamla Bhasin passed away at the age of 75 on Saturday. Bhasin spearheaded several women’s movements in India and other South Asian nations in the 1970s. “One that elevates men and gives them power, and the other, that advocates for equality," she used to say. "Kamla you will always live in our hearts. In Sisterhood, which is in deep grief,” Bhasin's friend Kavita Srivastava tweeted.
