Navy officer's daughter becomes youngest Indian to scale Mount Everest

Kaamya Karthikeyan, a 16-year-old student from Mumbai, has set a new record by becoming the youngest Indian and the second youngest girl globally to scale Mount Everest from the Nepal side. Kaamya set off on the journey to Everest on April 3, accompanied by her father, Commander S. Karthikeyan of the Indian Navy, and arrived at the summit on May 20.
