Induction and deployment of nuke-capable Shaurya missile approved by government amid standoff with China

As the standoff between India and China near the Ladakh reason has seen more than 100 days, the induction and deployment of nuke-capable Shaurya strategic missile has been approved by the government. The missile is the land version of the submarine-launched BA-05 missile and has been developed by the Defence Research and Development Organization. It has a range of 700 km and flies at a supersonic speed of Mach 7, or 2.4 kmps.
