Hypertension, diabetes among major comorbidities in coronavirus deaths in Mumbai

According to a BMC survey, hypertension and diabetes are two main comorbidities in coronavirus related deaths in Mumbai. “The two comorbidities (hypertension and diabetes) comprise 55% of the total Covid deaths. People with existing comorbidities, if they develop Covid symptoms, they should get into institutional quarantine as early as possible," said Additional municipal commissioner Suresh Kakani.
