Entire Koala colonies ravaged, national tragedy for Australia

The lucky ones managed to escape the inferno, clinging to rescuers who came to save the koalas. However, hundreds of other vulnerable koalas are believed to have died in the devastating bush fire ravaging the eastern Australia coast. Rescuers and volunteers wandering in New South Wales woods searching the marsupial survivors have discovered koalas incinerated while seeking refuge, leaving only piles of ash.
