Digital India Act will monitor social media, Metaverse, OTT platforms: Report

Crimes that will take place on social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook and the Metaverse will fall under the purview of the Digital India Act (DIA), India’s upcoming digital regulatory framework. Further, any content guidelines violations by OTT platforms such as Netflix and Amazon Prime including spreading misinformation or inciting violence will also fall under the DIA’s purview.
