Cost of Living Survey 2023: Mumbai most expensive Indian city for expats; Hong Kong tops globally

Mumbai has been ranked as the most expensive city in India for expatriates, followed by New Delhi and Bengaluru in the second and third place, respectively, according to a report. According to Mercer's 2023 Cost of Living survey, which includes 227 cities from across five continents, Mumbai, positioned at 147 in the global ranking, retains the top spot as India's most expensive city for expats, while Hong Kong topped the global chart.
