At least 35 people died in Mexico after drinking methanol, the latest in a series of mass alcohol poisonings after the country banned beer sales and many towns stopped the sale of liquor. At least 20 people died of methanol poisoning in Chiconcuautla in the central state of Puebla. State authorities have already closed the stores where the suspected liquor was being sold, and seized near about 50 gallons of it.
