Ancient Neanderthals might be carnivores: Research

The findings of a new study led by a CNRS researcher use zinc isotope analysis to determine the position of Neanderthals in the food chain for the first time. Their findings, published in the journal PNAS, suggest that they were, in fact, carnivores. Scientists have not yet settled the question of whether Neanderthals were carnivores or not.
