China is the world leader in solar energy. Not only does the country boast the largest floating solar farm in the world, but it also has the prettiest solar farm in the world, designed like a gigantic panda. Moreover, in Shanxi Province, a respectively newer solar farm has been developed that reportedly produces 1.51 billion kilowatt-hours of power each year. This solar farm in the northern Chinese province of Shanxi covers more than 10,590 acres.
