For the first time, Astronomers saw the supernova in space as it burst at rates of up to 4,000 kilometers per second using pictures taken over a decade (2,485 miles). The numerous knots shown in the picture, according to ScienceAlert, are cosmic creatures comprised of magnesium and neon that formed in the star before the explosion. The remains are said to have reached a maximum speed of 1,000 kilometers per second.
