31 minors died by suicide everyday in India in 2020: Govt

As many as 11,396 children below 18 years have died by suicide in the year 2020, taking out an average of 31 minor deaths per day, according to the data furnished by the government in Parliament on Tuesday. The government did not furnish the data of suicide by minors in the current year. The Minister said the Education Ministry has undertaken a proactive initiative, named `Manodarpan` covering a wide range of activities.
