Taj Mahal
Righteously placed among the seven wonders of the world, the architectural Marvel of Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan in the year 1648. It incorporates the Mughal style of design and is made completely from white marble.
Red Fort
Shah Jahan built the Red fort in 1638 in order to signify his rule and the establishment of Delhi as the capital of the Mughal Empire. This red sandstone building has now been declared as a World Heritage site by UNESCO.
Qutub Minar
Built by Qutab-Ud-Din Aibak to signify the defeat of the last Hindu ruler in Delhiin 1193, this 73 metre high tower held great importance in the Mughal dynasty. It is built from red sandstone and white marble.
Konark Sun Temple
Located on the banks of the state of Orissa, this is the temple that was built for the Sun God or Surya Deva. It incorporates ancient Hindu architectural techniques and beautiful carvings.
Golconda Fort
The Golconda fort was built by the Kakatiyas as a defence on the Western front. It later rose to prominence during Qutub Shahi, it was first built in mud and later fortified as a solid defence.
Ellora and Ajanta Caves
The Ellora and Ajanta caves in the Aurangabad district of Maharashtra display some of the finest Jain Buddhist and Hindu sculptures and paintings that have been rock cut. The existence of the caves can be dated back to 200 BCE.
The Charminar
