Hinduism has a rich and diverse mythos that is still relevant in nations around the world today. Their stories are both entertaining and timely. They are provocative and divisive, as works of art should be. Posted On July 6th, 2021
Lord Shiva Trishul
The Trishul, one of the most recognizable pieces of emblem throughout the world, is the most powerful weapon personally wielded by Lord Shiva or Goddess Shakti. A Trishula can negate any supernatural weapon, and once used, it can never be stopped or controlled unless Lord Shiva himself does.
Sudarshan chakra
Sudarshan chakra is a disc-like weapon with 108 sharp edges wielded by God Vishnu. Chakkrath Azhwar is another name for it. Lord Vishnu used to hold the Sudarshan Chakra in one of his four hands, along with the Shankh, Gada, and the Padma. Chakra also represents Lord Vishnu's ownership of celestial bodies and the heavens. It is used for the ultimate destruction of law's and order's enemies.
Bhramanda Astra
Lord Brahma's other weapon, Brahmanda, manifests with all five of Lord Brahma's heads as its tip. Lord Shiva severed one of Lord Brahma's heads during their battle as a punishment for his arrogance. According to Hindu cosmology, this weapon, as its name implies, has the ability to destroy the Universe or Brahmanda (the 14 realms).
Pashupatstra
Pashupatastra, according to Hindu beliefs, is one of the most devastating and lethal weapons ever known to humanity. It is the weapon of Mahakali, the consort of the Godhead Mahadeva, according to Hindu Puranas. Mahakali is a Sanskrit word that means "Goddess who is beyond time."
Bharmastra
Brahmastra is yet another lethal weapon found in Hindu folklore. It was created by God Brahma, along with the Brahmashirsha Astra and the Brahmanda Astra (Brahma weapons). The Brahmastra is said to be obtained only through intense concentration and meditation, or by a Guru.
Narayanastra
The Narayan Astra is one of the most lethal and potent weapons in Hindu mythology, wielded by Lord Vishnu in his Narayan avatar. This weapon launches millions of weapons such as Gadha, Chakram, and arrows into the sky at the same time to annihilate their opponent. The only way to avoid it is to submit to it before it strikes. As the number of weapons in the shower increases, so does the intensity of the shower.
Bhargavastra
Bhargavastra, Lord Vishnu's avatar. Lord Parashurama created this Astra, which he passed on to his disciple.
Teen Baan
Shiva's Teen Baan is yet another potent weapon. However, as the name implies, it comes in the form of three arrows bestowed upon Babrika, the son of Ghatotkach. Each arrow had its own set of abilities; the first would mark out all of the targets that the archer wished to destroy; the third, when fired, would kill them. The second arrow would indicate those who would not be harmed.
Vajrayudha
Vajrayudha, also known as vajra, is Lord Indra's personal weapon that shoots thunderbolts. The word's literal meaning is "lightning." This weapon, made from the bones of Rishi Dadhichi and fashioned by god Vishnu himself, was first used to kill the demon Vritra, who had a boon that no metal weapon could kill him.
Bhramshira
It is Lord Brahma's second most powerful weapon, four times stronger than Brahmastra. It is thought to be made up of the four heads of Brahma, which represent the four sacred and holy texts of Hindus, the Vedas. This weapon's distinguishing feature is that it can be invoked on any object, even a strand of grass, by using the correct holy mantras.
