Will & Grace is a sitcom produced by Max Mutchnick and David Kohan in the United States. The show is set in New York City and follows best friends Will Truman (Eric McCormack), a gay lawyer, and Grace Adler (Debra Messing), a straight interior designer, as they navigate their relationship. Will & Grace is one of the most famous television shows featuring gay main characters. The show aired on NBC for eight seasons, from September 21, 1998, to May 18, 2006, and then returned on September 28, 2017, and concluded on April 23, 2020. Despite early backlash for its stereotypical depiction of gay people, the show went on to become a staple of NBC's Thursday night Must See TV lineup.
That 70’s Show
This American based Sitcom is known worldwide as one of the ‘Classics’.It was aired on Fox television on August 23, 1998. The series follows the lives of a group of six teenage friends living in fictional Point Place, Wisconsin. That '70s Show captures the 1970s dream rather than the reality, but it charms with its groovy style and an appealing cast – with invaluable assistance from Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith. In 1999, the ITV network in the United Kingdom recreated the show as Days Like These, using almost identical scripts with small changes to cultural references.
Friends
A ten-seasoned American television sitcom Friends was produced by David Crane and Marta Kauffman. The plot revolves around six characters: Ross [David Schwimmer], his sister Monica [Courtney Cox], best friends Joey and Chandler [Matt LeBlanc and Matt Perry], Jennifer [Rachel Green], and Phoebe [Lisa Kudrow]. In the storyline, the characters are frequently involved in circumstances, love affairs, and other such things. An interesting fact about the cast in Friends was that sometimes the cast would do improv and create their lines on the spot; Matt Perry was specifically known for doing that a lot.

The Simpsons is an animated American sitcom produced by Matt Groening that premiered on The Tracey Ullman Show on April 19, 1987, as a series of shorts. It debuted on December 17, 1989, and is still going strong in 2021, making it the longest-running animated sitcom in history. It follows Homer Simpson and his family (wife Marge and children Bart, Lisa, and Maggie, as well as pets Snowball II and Santa's Little Helper) as they go through a series of mishaps. This show has sparked a lot of debate, with some claiming that it has prophetic qualities because it has correctly predicted several major global events years in advance.

From January 12, 1971, to April 8, 1979, All in the Family was an American sitcom television series that aired on the CBS television network for nine seasons. Norman Lear and Bud Yorkin produced All in the Family, which was based on the British sitcom “Till Death Us Do Part”. A working-class father and his family are the focus of the episode. The display takes place in Queens' Astoria neighbourhood, with the bulk of the action taking place at the Bunkers' home at 704 Hauser Street. Significant political and social issues like homosexuality, abuse, racism, and women's rights had never been debated on a network comedy show until this show.

In the show, Seinfeld, Jerry Seinfeld, George Costanza, disgruntled working gal Elaine Benes, and quirky neighbour Cosmo Kramer are four single friends who struggle with the absurdities of daily life in New York City. While most sitcoms before it focused on families or workplaces, this was one of the first to focus on friendships. Larry David, a comedy writer, and Jerry Seinfeld, a stand-up comedian wrote and produced the show. They stated that the central characters were based on real-life people in their lives.
How I met your Mother
How I Met Your Mother is an American sitcom that first aired on CBS on September 19, 2005, and ran until March 31, 2014. The plot revolves around Ted Mosby and his group of friends. The relationship between the five main characters is the storyline’s main focus; from new found love to high school sweethearts marrying each other, this sweet sitcom has more heart-melting moments. They interact with each other like real-life best friends, and their conflicts and triumphs appear to be issues that could affect anyone. Credit the authors for making characters and also for the set-ups that are so excitingly entertaining, if unrealistic at times.
