Vulture (Spiderman: Homecoming)

Vulture, like Sandman, was a villain with a lot more going on under the hood than just wanting to be a bad guy. Michael Keaton enthusiastically transitioned from Batman to Vulture because he was wronged by Tony Stark and saw his own company go out of business, pushing him to a life of crime. Fans knew why Vulture was a villain, and his brief redemption, in the end, was well-deserved.

Mysterio (Spider-Man: Far From Home)

Because of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Mysterio replaced Vulture as a new Spider-Man enemy. Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home appear to bring the Web-Slinger one step closer to defeating the Sinister Six. The nicest thing about Mysterio is that he is a hero for the first half of the film, and the villains he and Spider-Man battled were revealed to be illusions. Jake Gyllenhaal was fantastic in the role, and it was one of the best Spider-Man films.

Sandman (Spider-Man 3)

While Sam Raimi has stated explicitly that he does not want Venom in Spider-Man 3, he appears to be quite excited to bring The Sandman to the big screen. Thomas Haden Church, best known for his humorous parts, delivers the goods in this film as a criminal who wants to do the right thing but can't seem to get a break. The scenes with his daughter and the ending with Spider-Man demonstrate that a comic book villain does not have to be over-the-top evil, and Raimi brought out Sandman's humanity more than any superhero movie villain up to that point.

Electro (Amazing Spider-Man 2)

While Green Goblin in Amazing Spider-Man 2 was a letdown for many fans and critics, Electro was a pleasant surprise. While Jamie Foxx was an unusual casting choice for the Spider-Man villain, he imparted emotion and anguish to the character. Like the cartoon Spectacular Spider-Man series, Electro never intended to be a villain. Still, it was forced to be one by the police and Spider-Man, both of whom feared him. Electro, like Sandman, added a greater degree of thought to the concept of a supervillain.

Venom (Spider-Man 3)

Sam Raimi left the Spider-Man franchise because of Venom in Spider-Man 3. After two hugely popular and critically acclaimed films, the franchise's third installment was doomed from the outset. The best element of the film was Raimi's desire to convey the story of The Sandman. However, it was evident that Raimi was uninterested in Venom. The character was a pale imitation of its comic book counterpart and nothing resembling Tom Hardy's Venom years later.

Lizard (The Amazing Spider-man)

The first Amazing Spider-Man film introduced a fan-favorite character from the comics. Still, this film struggled to depict the true Lizard. The nicest part about The Lizard from the comics and animated series is that he, like the Wolf-Man, is a tragic figure. In the comics, Curt Conners was a decent man and a caring husband and parent, but he was cursed by his condition. This film turned Lizard into a monster. While it was well-designed and effective in that regard, it wasn't what many Spider-Man fans expected from the enemy.

Green Goblin (Spiderman)

It's nearly impossible to imagine that there have been three Green Goblins in Spider-Man films, two of which were played by Harry Osborn. However, Amazing Spider-Man 2 was the poorest of the three. Dane DeHaan played the Goblin in this film, which modified the purpose of his existence. The film even gave this Goblin the iconic moment of murdering Gwen Stacy, something the character never earned. Doctor Octopus (Spider-Man 2)

While fans adore the Marvel-Sony Tom Holland Spider-Man films, most fans and critics feel that Spider-Man 2 set a high standard for the franchise and is the best film of all time. Doctor Octopus, who is often regarded as Spider-archnemesis, Man's is the villain in this story. What made Alfred Molina's character so memorable is that he began as a nice and giving man. Still, the loss of his wife and the failure of his inhibitor chip drove him insane. He was the ideal tragic villain and is widely regarded as the best Spider-Man movie villain of all time.
