Singer Daler Mehndi arrested after court upholds 2-year sentence in human trafficking case

Singer Daler Mehndi was on Thursday arrested by Punjab police after a Patiala court sentenced him to two years of imprisonment in a human trafficking case on Thursday. The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge HS Grewal today dismissed Mehndi's appeal. His petition for bail plea, a request to be released on probation were dismissed too, so he was taken to the Patiala Jail.
