I consumed poison: Comedian Tirthanand Rao breaks silence on suicide attempt, talks about financial woes

Comedian Tirthanand Rao who had worked with Kapil Sharma in 2016 had attempted to commit suicide by consuming poison on December 26, 2021 according to an Aaj Tak report. The comedian told the news portal that he took this extreme step as he had no work and his family members offered him no support. Luckily, he was saved by his neighbours who took him to the hospital at the right time. He recovered successfully in four days.
