Emmy awards winning TV actor, Ed Asner, passes away at 91

Ed Asner, the US TV actor who held the record for winning seven Emmy awards, passed away at 91 on Sunday. "We are sorry to say that our beloved patriarch passed away this morning, peacefully. Words cannot express the sadness we feel," the actor's family wrote on his Twitter account. Asner will be remembered for his memorable performance as newsroom boss Lou Grant on The Mary Tyler Moore Show. He was born on November 15, 1929.
