Beautiful moon picture shared by NASA's Galileo spacecraft

The photograph was taken by NASA's Galileo satellite and published on Instagram. It was discovered that this image was a composite of 53 photos taken over the time when the spacecraft passed over the northern reaches of the moon on December 7, 1992, as Galileo was on its route to Jupiter. With bright blue, pink, and orange colors, the moon appears like something out of a painter's mind. It went viral on social media after it was posted.
