The Russian term belukha, which means "white," is where the English name "beluga" is derived. White whales are another name for belugas. Beluga calves are often dark grey upon birth. As they become older, they gradually become lighter, and when they're fully grown, they develop the white colouring that adult belugas have. Because of their white colouring, belugas may hide from predators in the icebergs and ice floes of northern seas.

Microfiber is often regarded as the most efficient cleaning substance on the planet. Individual strands of a cleaning cloth are never broken. They are similar to wires. And, unlike cotton, which is formed of short strands that always come off while washing and attach to the surface after an electrostatic change, the fabric itself is like a net of wires with no holes. Strands in a standard microfiber cloth never fall off since they span from one end of the fabric to the other and cannot come off when washing! Microfiber fabric is formed from splitted and conjugated polyester and polyamide fibres. These fibres are exceptionally soft and have good dimensional stability. They keep their form extremely nicely.

It required a lot of creativity to get the stones to stand up straight. The builders eventually chose a technique associated with woodworking rather than brickwork. They used tongue and groove joints to slot the stones together, creating mortice holes and protruding tenons. Timber poles were placed at the back of the pit as a brace support when the hole for the stones was dug. The stone was then placed into place and lifted up with ropes while rubble was stuffed into the pit to keep it in place.

One quiet little secret exists in Grand Central. The whispering gallery, also known as the whispering wall, is a modest secret that stands apart from the surrounding turmoil of city life. It is located on the less frenetic lower level and has no great fanfare to indicate its presence. Four arched entryways make a square shape in the whispering gallery. And if you whisper something into the arch and someone else stands 30 feet away with their ear to the arch diagonal from yours, they'll be able to clearly hear what you said — despite the distance and the acoustic deafening noise that is typical of Grand Central.
