When you steal someone's thunder, you use their ideas for your own benefit without giving them credit. Shakespeare appears to have used a sound effect invented by fellow playwright John Dennis to create the thunder heard throughout Macbeth. Appius and Virginia, Dennis's failed production, was the first to feature the sound. Dennis then heard thunder during a Macbeth performance shortly after that one ended. He was enraged that his thunder had been stolen.

Nitrocellulose, also known as guncotton, is the main ingredient in regular nail polish. It's made of plant fibre and is what causes TNT to explode. (Don't worry; it's also found in ping pong balls.) Ethyl acetate is used to dissolve the nitrocellulose. When you apply the nail polish to your nail, the solvent evaporates, leaving the nitrocellulose to dry into a solid (and pretty!) film.

The station opened in 1900 but was closed in September 1933 when the new Holborn station opened, less than 100 yards away.

The preamble of our Constitution is inspired by the preamble to the US constitution. The concept of popular sovereignty, meaning the authority of a state and its government, is created and sustained by the people's consent through elected representatives. This thought is reflected in both documents. Our preamble says: “We, the people of India… in our constituent assembly… do hereby adopt, enact and give to ourselves this Constitution.”
