So many popular perfumes contain musk, but the origins of this scent will shock you. Musk is a reddish-brown secretion from the "musk pod" of the male musk deer. It is such a popular ingredient that it is even mentioned in Kabir’s poems. However, since its popularity encouraged the hunting of this endangered deer, its scent is now replicated synthetically.

The massive red walls of Jaigarh Fort can be seen from almost anywhere in Amer. Keeping in mind that I had not yet seen Kumbhalgarh Fort, these walls appeared interminable. The guard assured us they were just 3 kilometers long, but they looked much longer. The brilliant red hue set them apart from what we observed at Amer Fort. Personally, I enjoyed visiting the turrets, climbing up the narrow open staircases to see what was below, and simply roaming about the fort's perimeter.

The Brahmaputra is considered to be among the most majestic rivers in the world. The Brahmaputra enters India in the state of Arunachal Pradesh, where it is called Siang. It makes a very rapid descent from its original height in Tibet, and finally appears in the plains, where it is called Dihang. It flows for about 35 km (22 mi) and is joined by the Dibang River and the Lohit River at the head of the Assam Valley. Below the Lohit, the river is called Brahmaputra, enters the state of Assam, and becomes very wide—as wide as 10 km (6 mi) in parts of Assam.

Have you ever come across a blue chicken egg? There's an interesting storey behind how these eggs got their brilliant blue colour. A virus infected a species of native South American chickens over 500 years ago, according to a PLoS ONE study. This infestation caused a genetic mutation that caused an accumulation of a pigment known as biliverdin, causing the chickens to lay blue and green eggs!

Prehistoric peoples' diets consisted of raw meats, roots, leaves, and other foraged foods. To cut up these tough foods, as well as catch, dismember, and consume them, strong teeth were required. Having extra teeth was a huge benefit, especially when there was no dentist nearby to keep teeth healthy. People have evolved since then, and we now have a more refined menu. This means that we don't require these extra teeth to eat tough foods and survive.
