The term "Eskimo kiss" is well known, and it is not unusual to see non-Inuit couples express their love in this way. Called Castoreum, there’s a fruit-scented extract that is taken from the abdominal glands of beavers and used in perfumes. It is supposed to smell sweet, warm, and animalic. However, since the animal has to be killed to remove the sac which contains this “castor”, perfumes that contain this scent use synthetic recreations of the note.

The Nabataeans revered their dead and took special care to honor them as they transitioned from this world to the next. However, because executive producer Kevin Bright had previously worked with Schwimmer, the writers were already developing Ross's character in Schwimmer's voice. Whereas, the record for the tallest cat belonged to Arcturus at a whopping 19.05 inches tall! Those are some big cats.

The Drie Gezusters (Three Sisters) pub in Groningen holds the title of the biggest pub on the continent and is a national heritage site. We hope it’s also got the most bathrooms of all the pubs in Europe!

There is a whole business dedicated to creating the flavors of grocery store foods. Working with phantom aromas or aroma-taste interactions, scientists discovered that consumers link "ham" with salt. Simply adding a ham-like fragrance or flavour to a cuisine might cause your brain to interpret it as saltier than it is. The same idea applies to the aroma of vanilla, which many associate with sweetness.
