They have a Jacobson's or vomeronasal organ on the roof of their mouth. The odor then travels from the tongue to an organ in their mouth. Their odor is particularly pleasant and has been characterized as smelling in stereo. They have a long tongue and numerous sensors that can detect varying levels of chemical stimuli.

Vitamin K, which is present in kiwi fruit, improves bone mineral density and prevents osteoporosis (weak bones). Additionally, vitamin K deficiency is linked to an increased risk of hip fractures2, so eating foods like kiwis to maintain adequate vitamin K levels is a great way to prevent bone deterioration, especially as you age.

Feet are extremely complex body parts. Each foot has 26 bones, 33 joints, and 19 muscles that all work together to allow for a wide range of motion and movement. However, many of these bones remain cartilage throughout a person's childhood, gradually ossifying into bone as time passes. According to the Ontario Society of Chiropodists, all of the bones in the foot do not harden completely until a person is around 21 years old! In Viking law, women had the same rights as males. Despite the traditional expectation that women married who their parents picked for them, they had the right to divorce and remarry. It was also socially acceptable for Viking women to have children outside of marriage. While boys were given precedence over daughters in inheritance, a woman may inherit all of her parents' possessions if she had no brothers.

Around the 15th century, the first toothbrush with bristles arrived on the scene in China. Bamboo sticks were outfitted with pig/boar hair, which had a scouring effect and quickly became more popular than ordinary chew sticks. Boar bristle toothbrushes were brought to Europe during the 17th century. Finding the boar bristles too abrasive, the Europeans began using horsehair instead, and some of the more affluent folks had special badger hair toothbrushes created for them. Bristled toothbrushes, on the other hand, were here to stay. Later types of bristles brushes would be constructed of bone, ivory, or other woods.

All veggies that are traditionally fermented in Korea are referred to as "kimchi." In reality, it is more of a processing technique than a distinct meal! The most well-known kimchi is baechu kimchi (nappa cabbage kimchi). Other popular types of kimchi include kkakdugi (cubed daikon (radish) kimchi) and chonggak (radish kimchi with their leaves). The most common ingredients in kimchi are dried red peppers, garlic, and ginger. They may, however, include radishes, onions, shallots, carrots, leeks, Asian pears, apples, seafood (dry shrimp), and other vegetables. So many delicious ingredients!

Aspirants from all academic and social backgrounds are eligible to take the UPSC CSE. When they roll out the red carpet on Oscar night spare a thought for the organizers. In 1996, a team of anatomists at the University of Adelaide in Australia revealed that koala and human fingerprints are readily confused, most likely due to the fact that koalas are primates' progenitors.

Many people are unaware of how intelligent pigeons are. They may be taught to recognize words and to match art with its artist, but perhaps most importantly, they can be taught to distinguish between benign and cancerous growths. Researchers at the University of California, Davis, trained pigeons to distinguish between benign and malignant biopsies. The pigeons were able to "diagnose" brand new biopsies that they had never seen before after being trained how to differentiate between the two. A pigeon by itself had an accuracy of 85% on average. Their accuracy as a group approached 99%, which is expected of a doctor. 

Onions have the ability to make you cry and make your breath smell horrible. Believe it or not, the reason onions do those things is the same reason onions are healthy. Over 100 sulfide-containing compounds can be found in onions. These have a variety of health benefits, including the prevention of asthma and certain types of cancer. Onions are related to garlic, leeks, chives, and scallions. While they do not all provide the same level of health benefits, they do provide comparable health benefits.

King Tut is probably the most famous of all the ancient Egyptians, but very little was known about the boy king who died at the young age of 19 until British archaeologist Howard Carter found the tomb in 1922. King Tuts Tomb is the smallest of the tombs in the Valley of the Kings but it was filled with great wealth.

It was believed that Hieroglyphs on the wall of King Tut’s tomb had the curse of death. I’m glad I didn’t know about this curse before entering King Tut’s tomb during our visit or I may not have entered this unassuming tomb.
