The extremely even-tempered nature of Beagles may surprise some people. They are actually among the gentlest breeds, which helps to explain why they make excellent family dogs. Despite their heritage as hunting dogs, you won't ever need to be concerned about these little fellas being aggressive.

In October 2005, Yangon was the bustling capital of Myanmar. The iguana has a third eye called the parietal eye. This pale-colored eye is positioned on the top of the head. It cannot distinguish between forms or colours, but it can detect light and movement. This allows the iguana to detect predatory birds from above.

Did you know that Niagara Falls is a group of waterfalls rather than a single waterfall? The American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and the Canadian Falls, collectively known as Horseshoe Falls, straddle the boundary between Canada and the United States. The Niagara River, from which all three falls flow, gets water from four Great Lakes — Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, and Lake Erie — before emptying into Lake Ontario.
