According to the report, Madagascar is the 14th unhappiest country in the world. It's hardly surprising that it's one of the poorest countries in the world, with a per capita GDP of $1,554 (ranking 179th out of 187 nations) and an average life expectancy of only 65.5 (in the UK, it's 81.2).
