Uttar Pradesh police arrest four, including 1 BJP leader, in Lakhimpur Kheri violence case

The Uttar Pradesh Police have arrested four people, including a BJP leader who was seen inside the SUV that ran over protesting farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri, in connection with the violence that led to the death of 8 people. "Accused Sumit Jaiswal, Shishupal, Nandan Singh Bisht and Satya Prakash Tripathi have been arrested by Lakhimpur Kheri Police and SWAT team of Crime branch," senior cop Prashant Kumar said in a statement.
