The US state department in its “Trafficking in Persons Report 2019” has said that terrorists are recruiting children as young as 14 in Jammu and Kashmir to act against the government and authorities. The report released on Thursday states that children aged just 12 are forcibly used by Maoist rebels to handle weapons and improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and in some cases, act as human shields.
