Tech giants 'Silicon Six' charged with inflating tax payments worth $100 billion

The "Silicon Six," have been accused of inflating their reported tax payments by about $100 billion (£70 billion) over the last decade. Amazon, Facebook, Alphabet, Netflix, Apple, and Microsoft were singled out for tax evasion in a study by the campaign organisation Fair Tax Foundation. They paid $96 billion less in tax between 2011 and 2020, according to the research than the amount mentioned in their annual reports.
