Supreme Court dismisses curative petition filed by Nirbhaya gang-rape convict Mukesh Singh

The Supreme Court today rejected the curative petition filed by one of the four convicts in 2012 Nirbhaya gang-rape murder case, Akshay Singh. The petition was rejected by a five-judge bench of the Supreme Court on Thursday. The bench, led by Justice NV Ramana, also turned down the death row convict’s request to stay his execution. The four convicts will be hanged on February 1, 2020, in Tihar Jail.
