Supreme Court dismisses Christian Michel's interim bail plea in Agusta Westland scam case

The Supreme Court today dismissed a plea of Christian Michel James, an alleged middleman arrested in connection with the AgustaWestland chopper scam cases, seeking interim bail on the grounds of risk of contracting coronavirus in Tihar jail. James' plea was heard by a bench of Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and BR Gavai, through video conferencing. The bench cited the criteria fixed by high powered committee constituted by government.
