Abu Bakar Bashir, the radical cleric linked to the Bali nightclub bombings, was released from the prison on Friday by the Indonesian authorities, a move that triggered grief and uproar among the victims and their kin. The 82-year-old radical is the spiritual leader of the Islamist terror network Jemaah Islamiyah- the group behind the blasts in October 2002. Abu Bakar was jailed for helping fund militant training.
