Out of 139 women killed by men in UK in 2017, nearly 105 knew killer

A survey was conducted by Women’s Aid and the campaigner Karen Ingala Smith, which revealed that out of 139 women killed by men in the UK in the previous year, 105, i.e., 76% knew who killed them. Almost 30 women were killed by strangers and 21 out of them died in terrorist attacks. The report also said that 64 of them were killed by their current or ex-intimate partners. Nearly, 24 were killed by their knowns.
