One of four Nirbhaya convicts goes on hunger strike after exhausting all legal options

After exhausting every legal remedy, one of the four convicts sentenced to death in the Nirbhaya case has started a hunger strike in Delhi's Tihar jail. The information was revealed by the jail authorities in a status report to the court. Convict Vinay Sharma went on hunger strike after his petition against President Ram Nath Kovind's rejection of his mercy plea was turned down by the Supreme Court last week.
