Nirbhaya convict Mukesh Singh was raped in Tihar, claims his lawyer

The lawyer of Mukesh Singh, one of the four convicts in the 2012 Nirbhaya gang-rape case, has claimed that Mukesh was raped inside the Tihar jail. "Courts only sentenced me to death. Was I sentenced to be raped?" the senior lawyer asked the court on his behalf and claimed that several supervening circumstances, including his illegal solitary confinement, were ignored when the mercy petition was rejected.
